Love Your Neighbor Mission Week
Hometown Mission Trip: July 6-10, 2020
All of our church's mission trips got canceled this summer by the host organizations, but we have a community of our own that we can serve and we're going to, in Jesus' name! We are SO excited about serving two local families in need on a large scale. These two projects will be similar to World Changers or perhaps a small-scale version of "Extreme Home Makeover." One home is in Kannapolis, the other in Concord.
We're asking for as many of our youth as possible to sign up for as many shifts as possible (Morning/Afternoon, Monday-Friday). Youth participants are invited to consider an optional $25 contribution to help the cause. This is a HUGE project and has the potential for incredible impact, not only on these families, but on all of us from First Baptist as well.
After the conclusion of our mission work each day, the youth will be doing something "fun." Though some of this is dependent on cooperative weather and may end up being in a different order, the plan is to do the following:
