Youth Leadership Team
Youth Ministry isn’t possible without the faithful dedication of volunteer leaders! Our volunteers are greatly appreciated and highly valued! All volunteers for First Baptist Student Ministries have a multitude of resources for training and development in the youth ministry office. Volunteer leaders also have opportunities for regular training, beginning in August of 2014.

"I enjoyed the training on Monday nights because it allowed me to take a moment and think about ways to incorporate some of the items into my weekly teaching and interactions with the kids. More than that I enjoyed the time with other volunteers to just talk about our ministries and the people involved." ~Lee Forrest, 20-year Youth Sunday School Veteran
HDTV: Highly Dedicated & Trained Volunteers
Monthly trainings have always been either at Jonathan's house or another youth leader's house, to keep things personal and informal. Due to social distancing needs, this year we will meet in the Fellowship Hall. 2020-2021 Schedule (6:30-8:00 p.m.)

Love God. Share God. Share Life.
"We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God's Good News but our own lives, too." ~1 Thessalonians 2:8 (NLT) Loving God, sharing God, and sharing life with others is what youth ministry is all about-- what the Christian life is all about! Our youth leadership team members are all encouraged to love God first and foremost. They are all encouraged to share God with the students by sharing how God has impacted their lives personally and through facilitating in Bible study. Finally, sharing life by listening to prayer requests and praise reports of the youth along with sharing their own life experiences, having fun together, and being an encourager. "Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart."

"I keep coming back because we're all family and we love to learn more about Christ we're thirsty and willing to learn about Christ."
