Baptist Men's Activities and Service Opportunties
Valet Parking Ministry
Every Sunday Our Baptist Men offer complementary valet parking for guests, elderly, and persons with disabilities on Sunday mornings, rain or shine. Whether coming for Sunday School, worship, or both, several of our Baptist Men will be standing outside the church building at the new covered entrance waiting to serve. After the service, cars are lined up for pickup for your convenience. Brunswick Stew Every November Homemade brunswick stew made from scratch by our Baptist Men. It doesn't come around that often, so stock up when you can! It's delicious! Price is $8 per quart. Proceeds go towards helping others in the community. Men's Breakfast Next Date: TBD This is a fellowship event and a time to remember and celebrate what God has been doing through the Baptist Men's Ministry. Men's Retreat The Baptist Men take a retreat to the beach every year. Thursday Morning Bible Study Every Thursday at 6:45 a.m. Our men meet on Thursdays at 6:45 a.m. for a time of Bible study and prayer followed by breakfast. It is a time of discipling and fellowship for the men of First Baptist. |
Baptist Men's Weekend
Last weekend of January, annually On this weekend, our Baptist Men enjoy a steak dinner, good fellowship, and prepare for a Baptist Men-led Sunday worship service and all-male choir. Operation Inasmuch (OIAM) On our most recent OIAM day, our Baptist Men and church members of ALL ages served in various areas around the community in Kannapolis doing projects such as building ramps, home repair for the elderly, yard work, litter removal, a blood drive, a medical/dental bus, and much more. Serving in other parts of the world is important, but also right outside of our back doors! We had 14 posted projects with approximately 80 volunteers. The bloodmobile had 19 donors. The Medical/Dental bus served over 100 ministerially and an actual 37 people professionally. We also served well over 100 meals at Midway for our wrap up and fellowship. It was a very good day with God's blessings! Want to know more about getting involved, or do you have questions about Baptist Men? Contact Baptist Men Director, Craig Coghill, by clicking here. |
